Southern Maryland Peace

A gathering of people who share the common idea that we need to bring peace-making into all aspects of our lives.

This means Peace within ourselves, our families and friendships, our community, environment and our world.

Everything we do can promote peace.

In 2003, amidst a world of terriorism and war , a small group of people from different spiritual and political persuasions came together to work towards peace. Our hope is that this website will be a conduit for other such groups in Southern Maryland, who are also working to build peace in our community.

SMP Sponsored Peace Activities:

Community Meditation for Peace

Bring peace to your life and our world in 2007. Join us on the first Wednesday of each month. Our intention is to provide a space for peace to flourish. We hope to raise the level of peace consciousness through meditation, as well as build community relationships and connections with those working for peace.

Click Community Meditation for Peace for more information about the gatherings.
